Jireh Christian School Board Casual vacancy for a parent representative.

Dear JCS Community, 

The Board is responsible for the finance and governance of our growing school, and it comprises the Principal, Staff representative, Proprietor representative(s) and five elected parent representatives. For the last two years, this newly formed team has been meeting regularly and working hard behind the scenes to enable the teaching faculty to deliver Christ-centred education to our tamariki. 

We are sad to share that one of our parent representatives, Aron Singh, and his family are relocating overseas, and so he has resigned from his position on the Board, effective immediately.  

Aron served his time faithfully and was a valuable link between the Board and our wider school community. His wife, Aimee, has been involved in the Parents' Association (PA) and all three of their children attend Jireh. 

In his letter, Aron said, “I am grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to such an exceptional Christian Character school over the past 2 years. Working with a dedicated team has been an invaluable experience, and I am proud of what the Board has achieved to date.”

We’re grateful to God for Aron being a part of our united team and will miss having him around. We’re excited to see where God leads him and his family next, and we know that he’ll be a blessing to his new community.

This leaves a casual vacancy on the school Board for an elected parent representative. The Board has decided to prayerfully fill the vacancy by selection.

If 10% or more of eligible voters on the school roll ask the Board, within 28 days of this notice being published, to hold a by-election to fill the vacancy, then a by-election will be held.
