On the week of the 23rd of November, four Year 10 classes set off on the annual Arts Week, provided by the school alongside the Ministry of Education. Here are some diary entries by two Year 10 students.

Unbelievably, we find ourselves at the end of another school year. Another group of new boys has completed their first year in the college while the Year 13 cohort leaves us as young men, eager to hit the world running.

Year 10 camp: 8 days of icebergs for breakfast, hill climbs for lunch, pre-cooked sausages for dinner and a generous side order of sun, wind, rain and snow. 

After 9 years at the college, Dave Boardman leaves to take up a principalship at Kristin School, Auckland.

This annual event took place on the 11th November at the University of Otago's, College of Education Gymnasium.

The John McGlashan College Sports Council has been in existence for 3 years. In that time the College has enjoyed considerable success at both participation and elite competition.

For John McGlashan College, tournament week coincides with year 10 camp and work experience.

On Saturday the 14th of November John McGlashan College's Year 7 and 8 boys took on Southland Boys High School, the Central Otago Mustangs and Balmacewen College in the South Island Intermediate Rugby League Tournament.
