A.N.Z.A.C. Service 2016

On a dark, but oddly warm Friday morning, the boys and staff assembled in the Memorial Chapel for our annual A.N.Z.A.C. service. This year our guest speaker was local historian Dr. George Davis.

At the heart of Dr. Davis's message was why we should remember and how did these occasions of  'remembering' come about?

This year we remembered in particular service men, Peter Moore, and Raymond Watson. A short biography was read about each of these fallen old boys by Mr. Neil Garry and Alex Timmings.  Following the reading of the names of old boys who paid the ultimate sacrifice, the last post and the laying of a wreath, boys were piped out to the memorial lawn to place their poppies.

Head boy Lochie Chittock will lead a group of boys along with Mr. Clark at the dawn Service on the 25th where again our wreaths will be laid at the Cenotaph.
