John McGlashan College

Students and teachers are about to embark on a well-earned two-week break, after a very busy term. As it is our cold season and there are a lot of winter ills around, we ask that students and parents read the article in this issue about Measles. You may be aware there is currently a measles outbreak in New Zealand, so far mainly affecting communities in the North Island. The most effective way to prevent an outbreak in Otago or Southland is through vaccination. The Southern District Health board would like to remind our school community of the importance of ensuring students  are fully vaccinated. Check out the article in this issue for more information.

Have a safe holiday and see you back here next term.
