Swimming
Courtland Ellis (Year 12) has made the New Zealand National Talent Identification Squad for swimming.

Karate
Riley Hall (Year 10) has made the New Zealand team for Karate and will be competing in New Caledonia in September at the WKF Oceania Champs.

Diving
In May Drew Schievink attended the DNZ Autumn Championships. In the boys 14/15 years age group he placed first on 1 metre, 3 metre and platform, and placed first in men’s open platform event. Drew’s score of 353.25 on platform (14/15yrs boys event) qualified him for selection for the Junior World Championships in Russia in December. Drew has been notified of his selection by the DNZ Selectors, which is now awaiting final approval from the DNZ Board.

On 30th June Drew will be attending the Diving NZ national championships in Auckland, then will leave from there to Adelaide to attend the Australian Elite Junior Championships.

Rugby League
Rory Ferguson has signed a two-year deal with the Brisbane Broncos rugby league side and will be heading to Brisbane at the end of the school year. Water Polo
The U14 Otago Waterpolo team will be attending the Pan Pacific Youth Water Polo Festival from July 15 to 18. The team includes JMC boys Max Wolf and Tevita Schaaf. Max Wolf, the captain of the team, was recently described by his coach Francois Cuccurullo as a "very, very talented player" and Francois believes Max has the potential to be selected to represent New Zealand. Sport Stacking
William McLauchlan came 3rd Overall at Saturday's Southern Region Inaugural Sport Stacking Tournament held at Coronation Hall.

Karate
On Sunday the 19th June Riley and Keegan Hall went to Christchurch for the Canterbury Westlands, The competition was extremely fierce but a lot of fun. Riley managed to achieve two gold medals in the 14-15 premier (brown and black belts) kata (patterns) and kumite (fighting) and Keegan did his best however didn't medal. Riley and Keegan are currently preparing for the Nationals in July where Riley will be competing in the 14-15 premier kata and kumite before competing in the secondary schools. Keegan will be competing in the 12-13 intermediate kata and the 12-13 premier kumite. He will also be competing in the secondary schools with Riley.

Orienteering
Nathan Harrison (Year 10) won the Otago Schools Yr9/10 Orienteering Championship grade. The event was held at the Pyramids on the peninsula and was contested in heavy rain.

Table Tennis
This year’s South Island table tennis tournament was held in Dunedin. There were 91 Players competing over the two day tournament at the Edgar Centre. Martin Pagé (Year 10) achieved a silver medal in the U15 doubles (with partner Long Nyugen). Martin's next tournament will be representing Otago in a Teams Tournament in Timaru on Queens Birthday weekend, working towards the New Zealand Championships in Auckland later in the year.

Sailing
Jake South, Henry South and Oli Page will be competing in the O'PEN BIC Winter Championships that are being held Manly Sailing Club in Auckland on the 8th to 10th July. This opportunity has been presented to them through the club that they sail at in Ravensbourne. Life Member, Russel Coutts, is running the event. The boys will be competing against other sailors from all over New Zealand and even some competitors that will be travelling from Australia just for the occasion.
