JMC boys at NAGs Geoffrey Kemp, David Cannon, Courtland Ellis and Ben Carr by Angela Button

National Age Group Swimming Championships (NAG’s)

Courtland Ellis, Ben Carr, Geoffrey Kemp, and David Cannon attended the swimming competition in Wellington from the 18th-22nd April, with some outstanding results.

Courtland (Boys, 16 years) performed exceptionally well. He competed in five events, gaining a second place and four third placing’s before a knee injury ruled him out of his remaining events. This obviously puts Courtland in the top echelon of the country's 16 year olds.

In the same age group Ben Carr (Boys, 16 years) performed well making three finals putting him in the top ten in the country.

Geoffrey Kemp and David Cannon (both Boys, 14 years) also had some stand out performances, with Geoffrey making three finals, gaining a fifth, seventh and ninth placing. While David qualified for two finals gaining two seventh Placings.

All of these boys should be congratulated for all of the hard work and dedication put into training.
