The John Paul II ball for 2020 was held at Shantytown Miner’s Hall on the 26th of September with the theme “Cloud Nine”. 

95 students attended and all had a great time. Neve Davidson was crowned Queen of the Ball and Derek Chizuni was named King of the Ball. Mikayla Stevenson was named best dressed female and Leo Smith was named best-dressed male.

Aoibheann McClunie, Neve Davison, Bronah Gibbens, Mikayla Stevenson, and I had the pleasure of coming up with the theme and the decorations for the ball as well as designing and printing the tickets. I would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff who gave up their time to attend and to Ms. O'Regan for helping me and the committee organize such a wonderful event.

The beautiful flowers for King and Queen were donated by Fleur De Lis Florist, Hokitika.
