Senior Boys' Basketball Tournament

On Tuesday 4th August, our 2 Senior boys basketball teams took part in the Secondary Schools Senior Boys Basketball Tournament.

Cardinals:

The boy’s 1st game was against Greymouth High, they played well but they lost 69-18.

Their 2nd game was a great game to watch as it was against our Bishops team. The boys tried their best, but they had another lose 95-27.

Their 3rd game was against Buller High which they lost 69-36.

Their 4th game was against Westland High taking away a win 49-35.

The Cardinals were 4th overall which was a good result as these boys had a long tiring day playing 4 games back to back.

Bishops:

The boy’s 1st game was against Westland High which they won 87-44.

Their 2nd game was against our own Cardinals which they won 95-27.

Their 3rd game was against Buller High taking away another win 76-39.

Their 4th game was against their rivals Greymouth High which was a great game to watch. It was a very hard, fast, physical, nail biting game with the score tied 56-56 and in the last 6 seconds there was a 3 pointer thrown out of nowhere from Leo Whitcombe which was absolutely amazing to take away their 4th win 59-56.

The Bishops were 1st overall of the tournament.
