Jayden Richardson and Kurt Berry attended a National swim meet in Dunedin from 8 -12 May. The Division ll swim meet was attended by 350 swimmers from all over New Zealand.

The boys did really well and made it to the finals i.e. top 8 in their age group, in several of their qualifying races. Kurt competed in the 50, 100 and 200 Breaststroke races and the 200 Individual medley race. Jayden competed in the 50, 100 and 200 breaststroke, 50 fly, 200 Individual medley, and 50 backstroke race. Jayden swam a remarkable 400 individual medley race to break the West Coast record. Jayden and Kurt also swam in club relay teams with other swimmers, Zac Gallant, Lockie Oliver and Emil Fischer, from the Greymouth Amateur Swimming club.
