You will no doubt have heard in the media that New Zealand secondary teachers (through the PPTA) have voted to strike on Tuesday 9th May under section 589 Education and Training Act 2020.

The Board has carefully considered the availability of non-union teaching staff, and unfortunately decided that we cannot provide normal instruction during the strike. 

The school will officially be closed for instruction during the above date.

There are also plans currently in place for the rostering home of specific year groups on specific days this term.

Thursday 11 May - Year 13

Tuesday 16 May - Year 9

Wednesday 17 May - Year 10

Thursday 25 May - Year 11

Tuesday 30 May - Year 13

Thursday 1 June - Year 12

Tuesday 6 June - Year 10

Thursday 8 June - Year 9

Students will be required to access their learning online on that day.
