The Year 10 Japanese students participated in JPII’s second annual suikawari game on Monday

Suikawari is a traditional Japanese game that involves splitting a watermelon with a stick while blindfolded, similar to what people do with a pinata.

Played in the summertime, suikawari is usually seen at beaches, but also happens at picnics and festivals.

The students enjoyed the watermelon afterwards and the extra went to the Breakfast Club.
