Ringa Toi Student Exhibition 2020

JPIIHS —

The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) continues to celebrate future artists through supporting and showcasing student success within Toi Māori. NZQA invites you to register your interest in submitting student work for the fifth Ringa Toi Student Exhibition.

Exhibition dates

The exhibition will be held in Wellington from 23 September to 2 October.

This year, we are also investigating putting the exhibition online for students and whānau around the country to see the work of talented young artists. An online exhibition would be available for an extended range of dates.

Who can exhibit?

The exhibition is open to students working towards achieving NCEA levels 1 to 3 with a focus on outstanding examples of Toi Māori.

The exhibition spans a broad range of art forms including Toi Wharepora (contemporary and traditional weaving forms), Toi Whakairo (carving), Toi Matihiko (digital print completed by computer), Toi Matatuhi (printmaking, ie, intaglio), Toi Waituhi (paint, ink, and drawing), and Toi Matarau (shaping and fashioning).

If you are interested in submitting material, please complete and submit the registration of interest form by Friday 14 August 2020. We will send you further information once the registrations close.
