The Mind and Heart of Christ

When we talk about “Christ the Key” we should remember that Christ was a human-like us in every regards apart from sin. This meant that Jesus had a mind as well as a heart. From the mind of Christ came his perspective on the world and the way he related to other people. His mind is key for us, as it teaches us the importance of both learning and filling our mind with wisdom but also knowing our place within a community and our role.

Following his mind and his heart, Jesus began his mission of spreading God’s kingdom and calling people to repentance, to ask for forgiveness, and to change their lives to become holy. This is something that everything we do as a school should be in the light of. Jesus’ call to holiness (to be one with God who is Holy) of all his disciples, is the reason for our school.

When we reflect on the heart of Jesus, burning with love for all people and his mind, filled with the wisdom of knowing what to do and how to act in his community. We realize that he is the key to living a life worthy of Heaven. Let’s remember this key truth that teaches us the very meaning of the existence of our school and its true purpose.

“be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect”- Romans 12:2
