VOCATIONAL PATHWAYS 2023

If you are interested in joining one of our Vocational Programme next year then please pick up a permission form from Jasmine F.

Forms need to be in by no later than the 9th September. You can drop these off to Jasmine F.

There are loads of opportunities through Trades and Gateway. If you think it might be for you, now is the time to apply.

VOLUNTEERING OVERSEAS

Make a difference while exploring a new country! New Ventures Worldwide has long-term gap year programs from January 2023.

Countries available are the UK, Canada, Spain, Poland, Ghana, Vietnam & Argentina.

If you have been thinking of taking a gap year and/or volunteering this might be perfect for you. 

FREE MONEY FROM DWC

Development West Coast offers four Tertiary scholarships annually to first time tertiary students as a means to provide a pathway for West Coast students to attain tertiary qualifications and return to the West Coast to undertake their career.

The Scholarships are for $22,500 over three years. Applications for these are open now and close on the 9th September.

KIA ORA HAUORA

Kia Ora Hauora are thrilled to be able to offer Year 12 and year 13 Maori students serious about a career in Health, an opportunity to get a feel for the job. This is held at Te Nikau Grey Base Hospital on Tuesday 20th – Friday 23rd September 2022.

The programme is designed to promote the diversity of health career pathways by providing an opportunity for students to see firsthand what kaimahi (health workers) encounter on a day to day basis within different areas of the West Coast Hospital. Furthermore, students who take part in the programme will gain access to information, including scholarships and tertiary education options, they need to make further study a reality.
