Moving into Level 3 Covid Lockdown. 27th August 2021.

Dear Parents/Caregivers and Whanau

Kia Ora, I am sure by now you would have heard that the Prime Minister has announced that Alert Level 4 will be lifted in our area from 11.59 pm on Tuesday 31st August.

We will then move into Alert Level 3. Under Alert Level 3 schools will continue to be closed for face-to-face learning, other than for the children of parents who need to work and have no alternative options available.

We are still awaiting guidance from the Ministry of Education and Health regarding opening at Alert Level 3, but at this stage the school will be cleaned on Wednesday and be open for supervision from Thursday 2nd September onwards.

Parents were sent a short survey to fill in earlier today to indicate if their son/daughter will be returning under Alert Level 3. We will contact the families of students coming back early next week with more detailed information regarding the opening of the school and transport arrangements.

All students are to continue with their distance learning classes and the timetable (the same one used this week). Whanau classes start at 11 am each day.

Please do not hesitate to email me if you have any questions Principal@johnpul.ac.nz.

Kind regards

Angela Sloane
