Signing Out

We are having an increasing number of students signing out during the day to attend “appointments”. When pressed, we are finding these appointments are for: eyebrow shaping, haircuts, eyelash extensions, getting nails done, etc. I wish I was kidding!

We are also getting some students leaving early to do parental errands during school time – nipping out of class to go to the supermarket or pick up “something from the council”. We’re here to help your student get the very best out of their education and thank you for keeping non-essential errands and appointments out of school hours.

There is no problem for students to sign out for medical appointments or driving lessons.

Parents of senior students should also note that there are NO “free periods” in the timetable. Students shouldn’t be calling to head home at first break because they’re ‘done for the day’. Our school days starts with whanau time at 8:35 and finishes at 3:10pm.

Your support is appreciated.
