Cobden School Food Tech Visit
It was a delight to welcome students from Cobden school, into Food Tech this week.
What a great bunch of young people! They were very excited to finally have the chance to use their cooking skills. This week we talked about ‘kitchen safety’ and how to ‘keep safe’ at home. The students worked diligently and eagerly to create Apple Pies with sweet shortcrust pastry. The pies were made completely from scratch including the pastry. Time was tight but we got there, and in the oven just in time to cook before Science class which was in the same room. As the pies came out of the oven, it was wonderful to see their joy and pride in how well (and yummy) the pies looked. Well done Cobden students!
