Deputy Principal's Panui

It was great to see so many staff and students back to school again on Thursday after our period of working from home. Covid has certainly hit the school harder than before, and at a time when we had assumed the worst was over!

I would like to thank Father Matthew who spent some time in school yesterday to facilitate reconciliation for any student who wished to participate. As the term now draws to an end, we have a couple of events next week to look forward to, the first is cross country, which has now been moved from Thursday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon. It was felt by staff that with all disruption over the past few weeks, we needed to protect lesson time, so this will now happen during club time on Wednesday instead and students will have an almost normal day on Thursday, broken only by our Holy Thursday liturgy which will take place at school.

Anyone is welcome to attend these events.

Wednesday next week will also be an opportunity for students to have individual photographs and sibling photographs taken. It is important that students look at the timetable carefully as they will need to balance the need for uniform for the photo with the normal Wednesday PE kit for bootcamp and cross country. We also have Ara in to talk to the senior students during their Senior time in the middle of the day.

Have a wonderful weekend, even though temperatures now suggest winter is well on its way.

Dan
