What's Happening in Mathematics??

Welcome back from lockdown, well done to all those students who turned up to their online classes.

A lot has been happening in Mathematics this term, and I just want to say well done to all those students who turned up to their online classes. Before lockdown it was NZ Maths week with students participating in daily puzzles for prizes. It was pleasing to see the high number of correct answers each day.

It’s getting close to the end of the term, and students need to ensure they have completed all their Internals. The Year 11 MCAT will be held on the 28th of September at 9am, those students sitting this need to ensure they are at school on time, and ready to give it their best.

Senior students need to start revising past papers to prepare themselves for our school derived grade examinations, as well as  the NCEA exams, all in Term 4, to ensure they are familiar with the topics.

Key NCEA Exam dates to remember:

NCEA Level 3 Statistics -  Tuesday 23rd November, 9:30am.

NCEA Level 2 Mathematics & Statistics -  Wednesday 24th November, 9:30am.

NCEA Level 1 Mathematics & Statistics -  Thursday 25th November, 9:30am.

NCEA Level 3 Calculus  - Tuesday 30th November, 9:30am.

Make sure you arrive to school on time for your exams and bring your exam slip and calculator. Hua te mahi uaua.
