Library Term 2

Exciting times ahead, I recently met with students to talk about our library. We came up with some exciting ideas not only for new books on our shelves but for opportunities for activities over the winter months.

Term 2 sees New Zealand Music Month with student “Jam sessions” in the library and a karaoke session…NOW I CAN’T SING but I’m going to give it a go and I’m hoping to grab a few teachers too…the challenge is set! Are you brave enough! please come along to the library to sign up.

We are also looking to get a film club going. As it’s the 21st anniversary of the first Harry Potter film being release we will begin our club with “The Philosopher’s Stone”.

If there are any budding chess players out there, I’d really like to hear from you so we can get regular chess games going.

We also have an assortment of games and jigsaws if you just want some quiet time and of course there’s always a good book to read.

Emails and notices with times and dates to follow.

Impromptu story time in the library with JP2 students Kelly, Emma and Chloe taking time from their study to read to Eden, the youngest of St Patrick's students…The Wonky Donkey guarantees a giggle.

Happy Easter – the librarian
