Catholic Character

Today we had the first meeting of the student lead catholic character team.

Jasmine Paneda, Year 13 is our Catholic Character leader. We have representatives from each Whanau in the team and a special welcome to Ivory Rancho, the Youth Worker for our Parish. Ivory will join the team for the weekly meetings. The theme for 2022 is "Staying Connected".Over the course of the year, we will have events and programmes to ensure your son and daughter relate to the wider catholic community.

At JPII we will invite students to join the confirmation programme that will culminate on 18 May, the schools feast day which celebrates the birthday of John Paul II.

Whanau groups are established with new candles, and prayer programmes. As the theme this year is Presence, continuity is important as we are unable to gather as a whole school presently. The prayer programmes follow the liturgical year.

The Parish is running the First Communion programme please email Margaret at St Patricks Parish for more information. st_patricksgreymouth@hotmail.com

You have called us from the east and from the west,

from the south and from the north to be your body in this world.

Keep us connected through you even in our physical distance.

Presence
