End of year exams for our junior students took place on Monday and Tuesday this week, their focus and drive to do well was evident and all of them gave the exams their best effort!

Staff are now in the process of marking these and feedback will be the focus of the few remaining lessons left for our junior students. The last week of term will see our juniors involved in some optional activities; more details will be provided to the students next week.

Senior exams are also drawing to a close for 2022 with the last exam next Wednesday, this will give the builders an opportunity to come back in and complete the hall toilets refurbishment, which will be most welcome for the students next year.

The 9th of December will see our new cohort of Year 9s drop into JPII for the day. As well as taster sessions of their option choices we will have the waterslide out for them to have a bit of fun alongside the current Juniors.

We have also heard this week that our long-awaited wireless network upgrade will happen over the holidays, this will mean better and faster connections for students when using their devices next year, and ease of connection to the school Wi-Fi network.

I hope the students have enjoyed their couple of days off this week, whilst staff have been working hard on planning for the curriculum changes ahead that the Ministry of Education is implementing over the next couple of years. At least we are all able to enjoy the long weekend – let’s just hope the weather is kind!
