Trades Taster
On Wednesday, 50 students from JPII took part in the ‘Trades Taster’ at Tai Poutini Polytechnic.
Trades on offer were Building, Cookery, Automotive, Hairdressing, Agriculture and Horticulture. Students got to take part in activities and challenges such as building a birdhouse and decorating cupcakes. It was great to see our rangatahi getting stuck in and enjoying themselves. It was also fantastic to see students who attend the Trades Academy helping out and showing students what they have learnt.
A massive thank you to Moira and Maree from the Polytechnic as well as the tutors for running a great event. Thank you to Jade from Development West Coast, DWC kindly funded our yummy lunch from dominos!
