From the Principal

It was a day of mixed emotions yesterday when we farewelled our Year 13 school leavers, along with students from other years also leaving to pursue their chosen careers.  We wish them all the very best wherever they go.  Our remaining senior students performed an amazing Haka for them. It was a great show of respect to our leavers from their peers for all they have done for the school.  Follow the link below to see this incredible performance. link:  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iHINoySD9q94Fv4JhM4QjUV69KOzyYrv/view?usp=sharing

We also held a Year 13 leavers dinner (along with parents and caregivers) last night.  Our guest speaker Kristy Owens spoke about her journey from school to now working at the Paparoa Wildlife Trust in Blackball. Thank you Kristy.

I would like to wish all our Year 11-13 students all the best with their exams which start on Monday 22 November.  I am sure all of your hard work and all of your teachers hard work will come to fruition.  Please remember your exam entry slip!

Year 10 are heading to Boyle River Camp next Tuesday for some Outdoor Education Experiences. Past students have all raved about this camp and it has proven to be an amazing time with some great adventures. Lets hope the weather shines upon us.

As our computer network has been at overload point it has been decided that student cell phones will not be able to access our wifi network.  Students all have school access through their computers to their work.  Students are still welcome to have their phones at school (it is still teacher directed if they are allowed to use these in class).

To celebrate our large mix of cultural heritage within our school community, we have a set of flags from each of the countries our students and staff were born in.  Everyday a whanau group will select the flag for the day where it will join our NZ flag on our school Flag-pole.

Exam Prayer for Senior Students

Next week we begin taking exams.  We know this is a stressful and difficult time.  We remember it is important that we dedicate ourselves to our students and do the best we can.

This is all God asks of us, and it is all we can ask of ourselves. Amen.
