Civil Defence - Poster Competition

'What About Waldo'?

We have an exciting competition running over the school holidays for kids in the district to get involved. The competition is inspired by our 'What About Waldo?' campaign.

Waldo has visited several schools this term so many of you will already have this competition on your radar. The aim is for children and young people to design a poster which encourages pet guardians in the Grey District to devise 'Pet Preparedness Plans' in case of emergency or disaster. The winning entries will be judged by our Mayor Tania Gibson and there are lots of cool prizes to be won including vouchers donated by local businesses.

The competition closes on Sunday 17th October.

Please view the attachment below which detail the competition rules. Children can also pick-up an info flyer from either the library or the Westland recreation centre.
