Klempel boys at science fair!

Congratulations Zak and Cameron Klempel on your amazing achievement on 24 September at the NIWA Canterbury - Westland Science & Technology Fair at University of Canterbury.

Zak was 1st in senior science and 3rd overall and Cameron got Excellence in Chemistry first place. Spectacular work from the boys, their supportive parents and their teachers! Zak has written about the experience: “The canterbury science fair was held over the weekend at the university and was an impressive event with close to 200 entries from schools all over canterbury. There were projects conducted in all fields of science and personally I was really impressed with the quality of the projects. The first in fair award went to a project on the effects of oxidization on cancer, conducted with lab equipment in collaboration with a professional doctor.

Despite only having two entries the West Coast won three prizes, first in the senior division, third in fair, and first in chemistry. It would be really good to see more entries from John Paul II next year so we can continue to show Canterbury who's boss.”
