Catholic Character

Preparations have begun for our feast day celebrations. Pope John Paul II was born on May 18, and with his devotion to Mary, Mother of God May the month of Mary it all fits. Similarly, St Marcellin Champagnat held Mary in special esteem.

The Feast Day Mass will be at 9am 18th May in our Parish church, St Patrick’s. This will include Confirmation for some students and staff. Fr Mat has visited the candidates at school and explained the process of confirmation to students and sponsors.

Masks are required for Mass.

On Feast Day students will be wearing pink, to support the anti-bullying programme. Some students will be in the gym, Shave for a cure. Youth supporting youth. All that St Pope John Paul II envisaged all those years ago when he put in place World Youth Day.
