Attendance Matters

We all know that every day at school counts for continuity of learning, the development of positive relationships with peers and teachers, and for feeling part of a school. Statistically, a student attending school 90% of the time has one day off per fortnight and will miss a full year of school between the start of Year One and the end of Year 10. A student attending 80% of the time has missed two years of learning; 70% is three years of missed learning, and so on. Therefore, it is vitally important that we have your child’s attendance recorded correctly. Please take a few minutes to go through your child’s attendance record through KAMAR and let us know if there are any issues or errors that need fixing, and we will action this straight away.
