Katie Boddy took out the top prize of overall winner, as well as top year 10

West Coast Regional Science Fair at Greymouth High School

On Friday 28 July a group of 19 year 9 and 10 students entered projects in the West Coast Regional Science Fair at Greymouth High School.

Our year 12 and 13 senior science students attended to judge the projects.

We were delighted when Katie Boddy took out the top prize of overall winner, as well as top Year 10, with her project 'Liquefaction Resistant'. Rachel Francis was second in Year 10 with her project on the effects of substances on plankton heart rate.

Harry Bryne was 2nd equal in Year 9, with his project, Wing it, comparing different wing shapes.

These students put a huge amount of effort into their projects, and it has really paid off.

Two of our teams also got to choose spot prizes: Keisha Rennie and Heidi Newcombe with This or that, and Diana Chizuni and Max Walkin with Music on Memory, well done!

Rachel Francis second place in year 10
Harry Bryne 2nd equal in year 9
