Congratulations to Corianna Kitchin - Yr 13

Last Saturday (20th August), Corianna competed in the St John Cadet West Coast district competitions.

She competed as a senior individual and won first place aggregate. Corianna won all her tests including a written test, drill, communications, two trauma tests, medical, and resuscitation .

Corianna also competed in colour party. A colour party is one of the highest formal roles members can engage in and provides a way to add a bit of formal ceremony to many functions.

The colour party is normally used to carry the colours (Flag or standard) on and off parade and is made up of four members -  the colour bearer, two escorts and a commander. Corianna was the commander and her team came first place.

Corianna also received the Pete Bale Memorial trophy which goes to a cadet with the best drill.

Corianna and her colour party now get to compete at Regional competitions on October 1st. She will represent the West Coast as she competes against other individuals across the South Island.
