Kia ora Koutou Katoa

Today we learned that the PPTA strike will continue until at least 30 June if no settlement is reached. The latest action involves rostering home two year groups per day, as per the table:

We are aware this is causing distress for many of our senior students who have already had their learning disrupted due to covid, winter sicknesses, and previous industrial action. We will be meeting with our Learning Area Leaders and Deans on Monday to look at rationalizing assessment programmes. An update will be sent home late next week to detail any changes to teaching and learning, and assessment plans. We will also be meeting with senior students individually over the next three weeks to ensure they have clarity about the learning programmes and offering support where needed.

All students have access to online classrooms and programmes like Education Perfect to support their learning at home.

I would like to thank all of our students for their patience and perseverance during this disrupted time.
