Beginner and Intermediate Learn to Skate Classes, Artistic and Roller Derby Skills with Georgia and Alana

Session times:

• Beginner and Intermediate Kids 4 - 5PM
• Beginner and Intermediate Adults 5:15 - 6:15PM
• Introduction to Artistic Skating 6:30 - 7:15PM
• Introduction to Derby Skills 7:15 - 8PM
• Coaching for Coaches 8 - 8:45PM

• Beginners will focus on balance, building confidence and pushing from one foot to the other.
• Intermediate skaters will focus on one foot balance, backwards and basic jumps and spins.
• Introduction to Artistic Skating with Alana is for confident skaters who have an understanding of roller skating and want to understand the fundamentals of Artistic such as edges, one foot turns, basic jumps and spins.
• Introduction to Roller Derby with Georgia is for all level skaters wanting to learn how to play Roller Derby and some of the fundamentals of how to play, use specific techniques to win a game and skills and drills used in training.
• Coach the Coaches is for those interested in teaching roller skating at a beginner level. We will cover what language to use, the progression of learning and how to use games to advance skater skills. All classes will cover how to push, stop, fall safely and how to stand up again.
