Derived Grade Exams

It was great to see such a high degree of commitment to their learning and achievement by so many students.

These exams are particularly important at this time due to ongoing illnesses in the community, which could impact a student’s ability to attend an end-of year NCEA exam. The school will be asked to submit the Derived Grade Exam result to support a student’s Derived Grade estimate should they not be able to attend an NCEA exam.

We noticed a few students were absent from some school exams this week, and they did not notify the school that they did not plan to attend either. We will need to check in with these students to understand why they didn’t do their exam; parents will be contacted too.
