This is an event held in the Christchurch Town Hall where choirs from all the diocesan schools gather to sing together.
Two JPII staff and 6 students travelled over on Friday 6th August and stayed at the Top Ten Holiday Park. There was a lovely mid day Mass to start the event on Friday with 6 priests officiating, and fabulous singing.
That evening was the concert where 700 students sang. The organ was massive and the sounds were wonderful. There were individual violin and piano recitals and items from St Bede's and our Lady of Victory School choirs. St James, Aranui performed an amazing Samoan song complete with beautiful costumes.
We returned to Greymouth on Saturday morning and managed to beat the snow!
A great time was enjoyed by all who attended and participated.
