Bringing three children to lessons each week may seem busy enough but not for one of our mums from Milton. How about bringing seven children to lessons!

Lyn started bringing her young children Lucy, Thomas and Sam to preschool lessons followed by school holiday block courses and now the children are old enough they attend our after-school lessons.

Swimming lessons and learning to swim are of high importance to Lyn and she is more than happy for the seats to be filled in her van. Each week Shilah, Laura, Sophia and Andrew join Lyn’s family on their weekly road trip from Milton to Dunedin for their swimming lessons and a fun swim. It’s a full van load and the older children pitch in to help Lyn with the younger ones to make it all work. 

The families of the four other children appreciate Lyn’s generous offer as they can stay at home with younger children while their older children travel for lessons. We all know how challenging it can be on poolside with younger children wanting to get in the water as well!

We wanted to recognise Lyn’s dedication in providing this opportunity for more families in the Milton area to attend lessons at Moana Pool with Just Swim.
