On Friday 1st March 22 students attended the Health Careers Expo organised by Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand.

This was held at the Ara Manawa campus in Christchurch. The students were able to talk to a wide range of clinical, non-clinical and support staff about what their roles involve and their study and career pathway to that role. There were tertiary education and training providers on hand to discuss many study options too. Students also took part in some hands-on simulated activities with the many different health staff. 

Hopefully, the students gained an insight into the different career pathways, what the roles entail, what training and qualifications are required, and if any of them may be a suitable future pathway for them.
