Nine students represented Kaiapoi High School at the South Island Secondary Schools' Championships in Invercargill at the end of March.

It was exciting to be able to send an Athletics team away to compete in the South Island Champs. These students placed at the Canterbury zone champs, which qualified them all to compete. Our team represented our school strongly and we finished with excellent results in both the track & field events.

Tom Swailes - 9th Boys U19 100m, 10th Boys U19 200m

Sophie Jolly - 8th Girls U14 800m

Sophie Jolly, Elina Seuamuli, Lily Morrison, Iunaite Amataga Sefo - 4th U14 Girls 4x100m Relay, oh so close to 3rd!

Tia, Pai, Tom & Jacob - 5th Boys U19 4x400 Relay.

Fantastic results for our small team of athletes that now look forward to representing our school at the national event, which will be held at the end of the year.
