A small group of students attended Footnote Dance Company's touring show, Hemispheres, at the Theatre Royal recently.

Footnote Dance Company went to China last year to create and perform/tour this show with their partners, Guangdong Modern Dance Company. Miss H attended a workshop at Hagley High the day before, to learn some of the repertoire with other teachers and students (Hagley, Avonside, etc).

The school production has been cast and rehearsals have begun. We have a very strong group of Senior and Junior 'Hotbox' and 'Gambler' dancers in the Dance Troupe for 'GUYS & DOLLS'. 

KHS will once again have a number of students entering the DanceNZmade competition in 2019, with three seniors choreographing group dances, two Yr10s choreographing a Hip Hop group and a number of solo, duo and trio entries. Regionals are on July 31st (venue tbc).

Ex-student, Toni Imbriolo, is really enjoying Hagley Dance Company and is doing very well. She has her first performance coming up end of the month.

Ex-student, Mitch O'Hara, is in the HUGE touring show, The Spirit of Ireland, touring March/April, bringing to bear his amazing Irish Dancing skills.
