Maree Reynolds —

KHS students have enjoyed getting back into their sport this term.

Congratulations to:

  • Year 10 student, Pai Wynyard, who came first in the U16 grade at the NZ National Cross Country Challenge in August.  The event was held at the Chisholm Links Golf course in Dunedin.  It was a very challenging, hilly course and, unfortunately, the wind came up just in time for the race.  It was a photo finish for 1st and 2nd place, so was very nail-biting to the last second, with Pai taking the win at the end.  Pai is one of Kaiapoi High School's up-and-coming athletes.
  • Year 11 student, Spencer Jarrett, who recently competed in the Canterbury Secondary Schools' Squash Champs, and was placed 1st in B Grade. This was an outstanding result.
