Year 13 student, Lewis MacDonald, came first place in the Under 18 section of the Coast to Coast event in February. This was a tremendous achievement.

With a time of 13 hours, 30 seconds in the gruelling race, Lewis said he was thrilled that all the hard work put into preparation, and fitting that around school exams, was worthwhile.

“It was the greatest weekend of my life, especially having friends and family there waiting for me when I crossed the finishing line”, Lewis said afterwards.

Family support was an important part of Lewis' success, with his mother and father being his support team.
