On Tuesday 21st August, the Footnote Dance Company NZ came to Kaiapoi High to run a contemporary dance workshop with our dance students.

Years 10 & 11 students, followed by Years 12 & 13 students, worked with four of the Company to extend their experience in dance. The Footnote dancers taught our students some of their repertoire from their touring show pieces, “Elliptical Fictions” by Zahra Killeen-Chance & “A Snail Watches Dust Particles In Sunlight” by James O’Hara & Eliza Sanders .

The following night, Footnote Dance Company performed 'Balancing Point' at the Aurora Centre of Performing Arts at Burnside High School to a diverse audience of our Christchurch Dance community. 13 students and five parents attended and thoroughly enjoyed the energetic and challenging show.
