Kauri House

Sarah Nicholas —

Kauri have had a unsurprisingly successful start to the year!

We could not have started better, with a win at fun day and outstanding house spirit all round! Special mention must be made to Andrew Philip for his impressive costume effort, and to the Year 13s for leading the way in the chart competition. Our paper plane house challenge at the end of Term One was a raging success, with the impartial judge declaring Kauri the winners.

Kauri would be nowhere this year without the leadership that has already been shown by our House Captains. The Senior House Captains, Ruby McKenzie-Sheat, Gerdion Venter, Jamie Neeson-Pene, Joel Reed and our Head of House, Ben Jarrett, have shown initiative and leadership in their approach to assemblies and house challenges. They are joined by our enthusiastic and talented Junior House Captains (Sidonie Gentry-Tuck, Katelyn Howe, Georgina Lowrey, Josh Ball and Alyssa McCartin), who bring to the table their creativity and energy. Their focus this year is celebrating the successes of Kauri students. So don't forget to text in when you or a mate has had something awesome happen, and be in to win prizes in assembly!

It has been an awesome start to the year, so keep up your energy Kauri, and keep those Manu cards rolling in!
