Kia ora, my name is John Russell and I am a successful applicant for the 2017 Te Ruranga o Ngai Tahu internship programme.
This internship begins shortly into the new year when I, and one other successful applicant, are thrust into a new working environment. This incredible opportunity was granted to me after a highly successful interview day, where we explored in detail the inner workings of the Corporation's building, and how Te Ruranga o Ngai Tahu operates, as well as meeting and talking with staff about the work I will be doing.
The internship, as a whole, is a two year endeavour and this opportunity provides a lot of amazing events down the line, such as being able to explore and work for different departments, all providing new experiences. There are also opportunities for doing work outside of Christchurch and exploring different parts of New Zealand.
All in all, this spectacular job opportunity offers far more than just work, and provides experience and knowledge for future endeavours and work opportunities. I believe that the years of learning provided by Kaiapoi High School has both prepared me and pushed me forward into a new world beyond school, and provided me with the essential tools I need to accelerate forward in my life.
