On Monday 27th March our school golf team, comprising of Jacob Coira, Matthew Moore, and Sean Creswell, took part in the Christchurch Secondary Schools' Golf Tournament held at Templeton Golf course.

It was fine, sunny day, perfect for golf, and entries were at a record high of 83 players. The boys acquitted themselves very well and did the School proud by winning the teams event, which was scored by the Stableford system. The boys were four points clear of the second team and were ably led by Jacob Coira, who scored 44 Stableford points. 

The boys' chipping and putting skills were impressive to watch throughout the day and the team now sets their sights on the secondary school matchplay championship that will be held in term 3. Thanks to Mr McAllister and parent helper, Dave Coira, for their support on the day.
