Technology Faculty News

Roland Babonnick —

Year 10 Biotech are currently making cheese with Ms Mawhinney. 

They have produced some fine examples of Camembert, Ricotta and Cottage cheese. Next will be a Feta cheese and a bread making unit.

Level 2 Building

The Level 2 Building course are currently constructing an outdoor amphitheatre for students to enjoy. Some of the Building students even came in in their spare time during exam week to keep things moving along.

Level 1 Hospitality

Fundraising for the Manu Korero Nationals, Level 1 Hospitality students and International students enjoyed making ice cap chocolate-dipped icecreams to sell at school. Even though it was cold outside, this still proved to be a popular enterprise.

Levels 2 & 3 Hospitality

We have been perfecting our coffee making and customer service skills by running a number of cafés. The company that is building our school were shouted lunch in the café and were entertained by the Music department and Kapahaka groups.

Café Italiano was our first bi-lingual run menu. Hospitality and Te Reo students joined classes for the week and we all learned from each other.
