We are very proud of our Kaiapoi High School students' sporting achievements in Term 1.

Congratulations to our U16 Boys' Triathlon team, who were placed 2nd in the U16 Boys Canterbury S.S. Triathlon. Team members were Leyton Wright (swimmer), Lewis MacDonald (cyclist) and Matt Price (runner).

The U14 Mixed team were placed 2nd in their grade. Team members were Kate Ward (swimmer), Luke Price (cyclist) and Joseph Matthews (runner).

Congratulations also to:

Luke Hopkinson, who was placed 1st in the 50kg 13-15yr age group at the New Zealand Secondary Schools' Junior Wrestling Champs.

Lewis MacDonald, who was placed 1st in the Canterbury Schools' single track cycling event.

Luke Price, who competed in the U15 National Cycling Champs held in Cambridge recently.  Luke was placed 4th in the 500m Time Trial, 5th in the 2km Scratch Race and 6th in the 7.5km Points Race.

The Dragon Boating Mixed team, who were placed 1st in the 250m race and 2nd in the 500m race at the Aoraki Open Dragon Boating Regatta at Lake Rua recently.

The Junior Boys Indoor Football team, who were placed 1st in the Junior grade of the Term 1 Wednesday Sport competition.
