CACTUS is back in Term 2!

Alisha Smith, CACTUS Coordinator —

CACTUS is a youth programme based at Kaiapoi High School, which aims to provide challenges through fitness, education, support and life skills in order to assist them to become more productive members of their community.

CACTUS is a boot camp-style programme with a mix of group games, competitions and individual tasks. It does involve some fitness, but it is all about how much each individual person can push themselves - CACTUS is for everyone, NOT just for fit people! It is different every session and it is a great way for students to get to know each other and also staff! Everyone is nervous at first but after a week or so, they really enjoy coming and the Longest Day is always a lot of fun!
