9K & 9S Camp

Alisha Smith —

9K and 9S travelled to the Boyle River Camp on Monday 7th August.

The first day saw students soaring high in the air with the Flying Kiwi, climbing to extreme heights on the high ropes and navigating through bush in the orienteering task. After a hearty dinner, the students set off blindfolded into the bush, to race their way through a tricky path guided by a rope.

Day two was full of activities, with a lot of walking through native bush and a river crossing. At night, the students faced their fears and were dropped off alone in the bush for at least 15 minutes with no torches.

The last day was focused on team work on the high ropes and Flying Kiwi.

9K and 9S challenged themselves both mentally and physically. They were a pleasure to have on camp and have formed some lasting friendships.
