Tennis: Nishitha Maarka won the T2 Canterbury Championships U16 Girls. She also represented Canterbury in the Junior National Teams Event U17, where the team placed 3rd. 

Karate: Johnathan Green gained 3rd place in collegiate male points sparring medium weight division at the National Seido Karate Tournament at the beginning of May. This result was due to all the hard work Jonathan had put in for weeks beforehand. There were 189 competitors from both New Zealand and Australia taking part.
