Polyfest 2024
Polyfest this year saw Kaiapoi High School again join with Rangiora High School, and for the first time also Rangiora New Life, to become a collaborative group.
Kaiapoi High School took the lead with this, resulting in our biggest group performing yet, with approximately 50 students taking part. Over the course of six weeks, these students dedicated countless hours to training and preparation, ensuring their performances would shine.
In the week leading up to Polyfest, we held two Fiafia nights, which served as both a dress rehearsal and a community celebration to showcase their hard work. Held first at Rangiora High School and then at Kaiapoi High School, these events were a great success. The enthusiasm and energy displayed set the stage for their main performance at Canterbury Polyfest, held by SPACPAC in Hagley Park on Saturday 16th March.
On the grand stage of Canterbury Polyfest, the collective efforts of the three schools resulted in a stellar performance that made everyone proud.
A massive thank you goes to all the tutors who gave up their time to come and support the students in their performance. Also to Elenoa Drulidruli, one of our year 13 students, who took the lead on driving this. Without her efforts, there would not have been a group performing. Finally, a big thank you to all the staff and Aiga who supported, bring on 2025!
